Terms of use
EINKTIME helps you create information displays for e-readers. These terms explain the service and your responsibilities.
Service
The EINKTIME website currently provides its screen editor free of charge. You need a compatible device, browser and internet connection. Device compatibility and uninterrupted updates cannot be guaranteed.
Your account
Registration uses a username and password. The database stores the username, password hash, recovery-code hash, internal account ID and acceptance of the terms. A recovery code is displayed only when issued and is replaced after use. Passwords and recovery codes are not stored in plain text.
Screens and content
You keep the rights to your own content. You authorise EINKTIME to process and display it only as needed to provide the service. You are responsible for permission to use feeds, calendars, images and other sources. Do not use the service for unlawful content, infringement, spam, malware or attacks.
Public screen addresses
Screen and image URLs work without a login. Anyone with the address may see the displayed content. Treat those links as public and avoid confidential information. HTTP mode is available for older devices and does not encrypt traffic. Keep passwords and account operations on HTTPS.
Cloudflare connection
Connecting Cloudflare is optional and requires your authorisation. EINKTIME may deploy and update a Worker in your account and send screen configuration, source addresses and any source credentials required by your configuration. After autonomous deployment, the Worker fetches sources and renders the display directly. The website still handles account settings and the short entry URL. Cloudflare is an independent provider governed by its own terms, limits and pricing. Check your Cloudflare plan; EINKTIME does not promise that third-party usage is free.
Data and external sources
The service stores account details, password hashes, screen settings, uploaded files, operational caches and technical security logs. Cloudflare authorisation tokens are stored encrypted on the server. Essential cookies maintain sessions, language and optional remembered login. Source providers receive the requests necessary to fetch their data; Cloudflare also processes requests made to your Worker. Feed and market information may be delayed or inaccurate and is not professional advice.
Stopping use
You can delete screens and informers in your account and disconnect Cloudflare management. Disconnecting management does not necessarily delete an already deployed Worker: manage or delete it in Cloudflare and revoke access there if needed. For account deletion or personal-data requests, contact the operator. Retention and deletion are subject to applicable legal obligations and necessary backup cycles.
Availability and responsibility
The service may change or be interrupted for maintenance, provider limits or failures. Keep copies of important content and do not rely on the display for emergency, medical or safety-critical decisions. These terms do not exclude liability or consumer and data-protection rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Restrictions and changes
Access may be restricted where necessary to address unlawful use, security incidents or material breaches. Where practicable, the operator will explain the reason and allow you to respond. Material changes to these terms will be dated and notified through the website before taking effect where required; they do not remove mandatory rights.
Public informer content
Informers are intended for publicly available content which you have the right to display publicly. Do not display private correspondence, confidential documents, other people’s personal data, passwords, recovery codes or access secrets. You choose sources and are responsible for the lawfulness of your content, publication rights and compliance with source licences and API limits. Availability on a website or in RSS is not an unrestricted licence to republish. EINKTIME does not automatically verify each source’s legal status and is not a confidential-delivery service. Public display links can be viewed or shared by others. The operator is not responsible for your unlawful disclosure to the extent permitted by applicable law; this does not exclude liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
Publication and automatic moderation
All active users may submit widgets to the public catalogue. New and edited submissions are reviewed automatically in hourly batches and remain unavailable to other catalogue users until approved. Pornography, insults, harassment, threats, hate, extremist or terrorist propaganda, scams, criminal facilitation and disclosure of private data or credentials are prohibited. Political content in Russian is not allowed in the catalogue. Translations and images are also reviewed. Automatic decisions may be mistaken; a rejected widget can be edited and resubmitted. Rejection does not delete the private design or its data.
