FAQ

A few things before you start.

Is it really free?

Yes. EINKTIME is a free service. You do not need a payment card or a paid subscription.

Will it work on my e-reader?

Your device needs internet access and a browser that can open the widget page, or a way to display its GIF URL. Old browsers differ, so check access on your device first.

Do I need to install an app?

EINKTIME provides a web page and a GIF URL for your widget. A compatible browser is enough to open the page; some devices may need additional setup to keep it visible.

What can I customise?

Display size, widget selection and order, fonts, spacing, alignment and theme. Types include currencies, weather, RSS, clocks, text, iCal calendars, countdowns, images, QR codes and data from a URL.

Are my screens private?

Your account settings are protected by your login. Widget display URLs are public: anyone with a link can view the display. Do not put sensitive information on them.

Catalog

Anyone with an active account can submit widgets for publication. Publication is checked automatically once an hour. Only approved widgets appear in the public catalogue.
